Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12 In a time when our youths tread unchartered territory, it is important for them to know and remember that Christ is the way, the truth, and the light. With this mission in mind, the India Pentecostal Assembly Youth Ministry was started in 1988. Over the years, the IPA Youth Ministry has conducted many meetings and programs geared twoards the upbringing of our youth. The Youth of IPA are an integral part of the church and every effort has and is being made to make sure that they are brought up with the fear of God and the knowledge of His Word. Our ultimate goal is their spiritual enrichment of the young people and train them to become the leaders of tomorrow. Rev. Finney Samuel serves as the Youth Pastor of IPA. Brother Stanly Mathew currently serves as Youth Director. Brothers Lovin Pappy, Denny Mathew, Renjith Thomas and Sister Debbie Thomas serve as Associate Youth Directors. Saturday Night English Prayer meetings are held in the Church sanctuary on three Saturdays of every month. During these meetings, the IPA choir leads Praise and Worship, following which, the youth of the church are encouraged to share a few minutes from the Word of God. There is also time for testimonies, exaltations, and praise reports. Finally, the Youth Pastor or a designated person shares from the Word of God. "Have nothing to do with godless and silly myths. Train yourself in godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come." 1Timothy 4:7-8 India Pentecostal Assembly youth are skilled at various sports and the church is represented in various sports by the following teams: GENESIS Mens' Basketball, GENESIS Junior Basketball, GENESIS Girl's Basketball, GENESIS Girl's Volleyball, GENESIS Soccer. In-House Talent Competitions are held between the months of May - July every year. Competitions include Solo, instrumental music, essay writing, memory verses, Bible quiz etc. The winners represent the church in the citywide Pentecostal Youth Fellowship of America (PYFA) talent competitions. The IPA youth are encouraged to actively participate in all the programs conducted by PYFA. The youth takes part in Praise and Worship sessions in PYFA meetings, gives short exaltations from the Word of God, participates in the PYFA Talent Competitions, and the PYFA Sports Tournaments. IPA Youth have also assumed leadership positions in PYFA and have served in the capacity of Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, and Youth Coordinators over the past years.
